Stainless steel welded parts are used where the machine frame sees water, cleaning agents or corrosive process gas. Glass washing lines, blow molding units and injection molding machines all use SUS304 frames, tanks and brackets that must stay clean and rust free over years of service.
Sheet and tube are cut, fit up in a fixture and TIG welded. After welding, the assembly is pickled to remove heat tint, passivated, and then machined pads are finished where a mating surface is needed. The finished part is wrapped separately to avoid scratches during transport.
